As a common food, flour usually includes wheat flour, corn flour, rice flour, pre-mixed flour, soybean flour, Multigrain powder etc. We use special food-grade raw materials and produce in food-specific workshops. Even the finished bags have undergone special testing and inspection, and have obtained FDA, REACH, and TPCH certifications.
Material recommendations
In terms of packaging material selection, we ensure they meet food-grade standards, allowing customers to use them with confidence and peace of mind. Furthermore, our flour bags products are fully designed to address moisture-proof and air-discharge needs. Flour is a “living” substance that continuously undergoes weak respiration during transportation and storage, releasing moisture and carbon dioxide. The air holes enable air circulation inside and outside the bag, expelling the moisture and heat in a timely manner to keep the interior dry, thereby extending the shelf life.
Structure choose
The structure of the packaging bags can be diverse. For powdered food packaging, in addition to safety, we place greater emphasis on the functionality of the appearance.
For example, square bottom bags can stand on their own and prevent holes and leakage. After being filled with flour, the bags stand upright, making stacking more compact and stable. Alternatively, if you prefer a three-dimensional and upright bag, you can try adding a gusset to it. This makes the bag more neat and square, ensuring more stable stacking and also making your logo-printed bags more eye-catching in supermarkets. If you need small weight load bags for loads less than 10kg, an additional plastic handle can be put on the top, allowing for faster handling of goods and making it easier for buyers to carry the products from the shelves.
Different materials for different weights
Most of our food packaging bags are used for food products under 50kg. We have the following recommendations for flour bags materials suitable for different load weights:
– For 1kg, 2kg, and 3kg: Single-layer kraft paper bags or flexible packaging PET+PE bags can be used.
– For 3kg, 5kg, 8kg, and 10kg: Double-layer paper bags, paper-laminated PP woven bags, or PET+PA+PE bags are applicable.
– For 10kg, 12kg, 15kg, and 20kg: Triple-layer paper bags, paper-laminated PP woven bags, and PP/BOPP PP bags are available.
– For 25kg, 30kg, 40kg, and 50kg: Paper-laminated PP woven bags and PP/BOPP PP bags are recommended.
Generally, carton packaging ensures better stability, but cartons are mostly used for packaging small-load bags, such as 1kg, 2kg, and 3kg small-sized bags. For medium and large-sized bags (e.g., multi-layer paper bags, paper+PP bags), we use regular materials (paper/plastic bags) for packaging. This method allows for tighter loading of items and ensures a smooth appearance. Plastic waterproof bags are mainly used for packaging PP woven bags and BOPP laminated PP woven bags, providing leakage and water resistance to protect products from damage.
Currently, we have many customers from American countries, especially those from Canada and USA. They mostly prefer using Kraft paper laminated PP woven handle bags to hold 20lb, 25lb, 10kg, and 15kg of flour. Based on our experience, handle-sealed bags with edge wrapping offer better sealing performance and prevent workers from getting injured during operation. The bottom is opened for flour filling. After filling, a bag sewing machine is used for closing, which prevents flour leakage. This not only achieves moisture and leakage resistance but also maintains an attractive appearance.
